brilliant women.
right on your doorstep

A community where local women and female-led businesses grow stronger together 💛

Connect. Support. Thrive.

REAL WOMEN.
REAL BUSINESSES.

REAL SUPPORT.

It works like this: local women turn up to real, local events - and discover the female-led businesses around them. Those businesses give back - sharing what they know, backing other women, strengthening the community around them.

Come whether you're growing a business or just fancy a good evening out. Either way, you'll leave with new contacts, more confidence - and probably already looking forward to the next one.

Proper conversations. Useful connections. Brilliant women-owned businesses you didn't know were right on your doorstep 💛

Our Mission

Brilliant Women-owned businesses Hiding in Plain Sight

There are women nearby with real skill and experience - running businesses, retraining, building something new. It's not the skill that's hard to find, it's the local audience that doesn't yet know they're there.

Women Who Lift Women closes that gap: real conversations, not sales pitches. A chance to talk about what you know, and get discovered by people who could actually use it.

local knowledge matters

When you need an accountant, a therapist, a photographer or a coach, knowing the person behind the business changes everything. Trust starts before you've even asked.

support beats competition

Women recommending women. Sharing contacts, buying from one another, opening doors. Community and commercial success aren't competing ideas - one creates the other.

Our Process

Three Ways to be part of it

1.

Put your support behind local women

Shop local. Discover local. From pottery and clothes to mortgage advice, interior design and hypnotherapy. Bring your purse and your little black book.

2.

Put your business in the room

Showcase it. Talk about it. Teach it. Join a panel, run a workshop or take a stand and meet local women who may need exactly what you do.

3.

put your name behind it

Sponsor an event or the wider community. Get seen, get involved and build real relationships with local women making decisions at home and at work.

Why Choose Us

Is this for me?

...Probably

you don't own a business

Perfectly fine. You don't need one.

Women come because the topic caught their eye, they fancy meeting new people, they need help from women who just get it, or they just like the sound of a good evening out.

you do own a business

Great - come and share what you do. Properly, not in a thirty-second pitch. Meet real customers, collaborators, and women who'll refer you without blinking. It's relationship-building that happens through conversation, not a hard sell.

FAQS

DO I NEED TO OWN A BUSINESS?

No. Some women who come do, plenty don’t. Come because you’re interested in the topic, the people, what’s happening locally - or just fancy some good conversation

IS THIS A NETWORKING GROUP?

Not the schmoozy, business-card-collecting kind. Professional connections happen all the time, but conversation comes first.

CAN I COME ON MY OWN?

Absolutely. Many women do. You won’t be the only one - and you won’t be left hovering by the drinks table.

WHO COMES TO THE EVENTS?

Business owners, freelancers, employed women, career-changers, SAHM's, creatives, retired women and the simply curious. There’s no typical Women Who Lift Women woman.

WHAT KIND OF EVENTS DO YOU RUN?

Coffee mornings, panel evenings, seasonal showcases and workshops. Different formats, same idea: bringing women together in real life.

WHERE IS WOMEN WHO LIFT WOMEN?

Right now, our events are in the Chew Valley, many at the lovely independent Chew Kitchen. But we have bigger plans.

We’d love to bring WWLW to more communities. Think your area would love it? Or run an independent café or restaurant that wants to support local women? Get in touch.

HOW DO I KEEP UP WITH WHAT'S HAPPENING?

Follow us on Instagram for events, faces, local finds and everything happening in the community. Or sign up for emails and we’ll send the good stuff straight to your inbox.

WHERE CAN I FIND THE WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESS INVOLVED?

Start with the Women-Owned directory on In Chew Valley, our local directory partner. It’s a great place to find and support women-led businesses you’ve met - or haven’t discovered yet.

HOW CAN MY BUSINESS GET INVOLVED?

Speak. Teach. Showcase. Sponsor. There are lots of ways to put your business in the room and get to know the women in this community. Head to Get Involved and tell us what you have in mind.
